The lead was quickly doubled as Lalwani finished off a great move with a runner. Ed City then pulled one back with a long shot before Williamson scored a beautiful running in shot to make it 3-1. The half time score was 4-2 after Lalwani sunk a long shot in reply to an Ed City goal.

The second half started in the same vein as the first with a goal for the Heroes – Riba-Singla getting on the scoresheet with a short range drop off as part of an MVP performance. Ed City then came back into the match with 2 goals before a great move involving a feed-collect switch by Connolly and Horsley-Downie culminated with a running in shot by Dundon. Kalateh added the 7th for the heroes with a tremendous runner. After one goal in reply by Ed City, Dundon scored his third of the match to make it 8-5.

With the Heroes seemingly cruising to victory, a few dodgy refereeing decisions compounded by some sloppy passes let Ed City back into the match. With the score at 8-7 and 10 seconds left, Ed City scored a long shot to equalise and give the Heroes no chance to reply.

After leading for all of the match, the Heroes were understandably disappointed to draw which shows just how far the team has progressed as it was a very impressive performance.
